My favorite project that I did this year is the cardboard stool.
Prototypes of self-driving cars and trucks are in the testing stage of production. The vehicles are expected to first come into the market in 2017. This new type of transportation also can be manually driven; it seems that the auto-drive feature is prominent for highways, interstates, and city roads.
Robert Downey Jr. presented a bionic arm created entirely from a 3D printer that only cost around $350. With material costs being cheap, people with unformed body parts will easily have access to bionic parts that will lessen their disadvantages in order to perform even the simplest of tasks. The story is that a young child had a problem in her heart. The surgeon was able to perform the surgery due to practice with a 3D printed heart. With this in mind, by creating 3D objects of body parts, surgeons and other medical attention careers can use the objects to better their skills and preparation.
AutoCAD is important to our class as we use it to make designs for various products we make from the laser cutter and vinyl cutter.
Naturally, my parents have a strong influence of motivation on me, but it is not my true motivation. My motivation comes from my desire to start and finish something. One example is that I started a Cub Scouts as a young tiger scout, and now I am close to earning my Eagle due to my efforts and desire to achieve it.
Some cool laser-cut projects I saw in a video include a pen holder, a card holder, and a plant holder. I don't know what kind of project I'd like to do, but I'd like to do something that can be used in everyday life.
Robots are being used to help reduce contamination and the spread of diseases ranging from influenza to Ebola. Some are used to help remove doctors/nurses gear so they won't possibly contaminate themselves. Others use UV lights to change diseases' coding, so that they stop reproducing and die.
